Abstract
Stroke is a clinical manifestation that has a sudden onset, is rapidly progressive, in the form of vocal and global (overall) neurological deficits that lasts more than 24 hours or directly causes death and is caused by non-traumatic blood circulation disorders to the brain. The main problems that arise in stroke patients are hemiparase (weakness) and hemiplegia (paralysis). One of the rehabilitation programs for stroke patients is exercise. Exercise (exercise) active in stroke patients will have the effect of increasing function and motor skills. The purpose of this literature is to determine exercise in increasing muscle strength in stroke patients. This research method is using literature review. The search for articles using the Google Scholar database with keywords that meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria is then reviewed. Each of these articles discusses the effect of ROM exercise, gripping a rubber ball, stretching exercise, and mirror therapy on increasing muscle strength in stroke patients. Based on the results of the study of the four articles, it can be concluded that ROM exercise, rubber ball grip, stretching exercise, and mirror therapy have an effect on increasing muscle strength. Based on this, the four exercises are expected to be applied maximally in the rehabilitation process of post-stroke patients.
