Abstract

Psychological is one factor that can cause mental disturbance, supported with psychosocial stressors, in which psychological factors play an important role in the development of public mental.Secara mental disorders due to the psychological pressure caused by the pressure of outside individuals and pressure from within the individual either psychosocial stressors, the incidence of mental illness is influenced by low economic status. The general objective of the study is to examine the relationship between psychosocial stressors on the incidence of depression in Puskesmas Sukamerang Kersamanah 2021. The method used is the analytic survey with case control approach. The results were obtained 61.2% of respondents experienced a stressor in depressed patients and 33.3% who are not experiencing psychosocial stressors. While non-depressed patients experiencing psychosocial stressors 38.8% and 66.7% of respondents did not depression do not experience psychosocial stresor.Stresor had a significant relationship between experiencing psychosocial stressors with the incidence of depression and are not experiencing psychosocial stressors with the incidence of depression is obtained P-value = 0.012 , because the P-value <0.5, then Ho is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between psychosocial factors with the incidence of depression. And based on the analysis, obtained OR = 3,158 means that the respondents had higher psychosocial stressors have a potential 3,158 times experience a mental disorder of depression
